The New York Red Bulls men’s soccer team and Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) partnered together in hosting its 2nd Annual Vocational Day at Red Bull Arena Presented by Southern New Hampshire University. The vocational day was held last week for families receiving assistance from the Department of Homeless Services.

Staff from SNHU and the Red Bulls held professional workshops that were designed to develop career skills and provide education advising. The sessions were held at the Red Bull Arena and included resume building, mock interviews, multimedia/video education, LinkedIn training, information about continuing education, a sales and marketing workshop and overviews of trade industries. The mission of the Red Bulls organization and SNHU is to provide underserved people the education to take the proper steps to help achieve career goals

"Our entire organization has been extremely proud to partner with the Southern New Hampshire University family to hopefully make a significant difference in the lives of these people and their families,” said Joe Stetson, vice president of marketing and communicaitons, NY Red Bulls. “Over 70 people were in attendance today to take part in important professional workshops that included resume building, mock job interviews, multimedia/video education, LinkedIn training, sales/marketing workshops and more.  Following last year's inaugural Vocational Day, our club hired multiple participants that took part in the workshops and they have been tremendous assets to our organization. We look forward to having similar success stories and continuing to help our community achieve their career goals."

"Southern New Hampshire University is thrilled to have partnered with the Red Bulls on our second Vocational Day event,” said Steve Thiel, Southern New Hampshire University. “We hope that the workshops focusing on resume building, mock interviews, professional social media and the other career oriented skills learned today will benefit these men and women in both their immediate and long-term careers."
