New Jersey Associates in Medicine, a local medical practice in Fair Lawn, has joined Summit Medical Group, the largest physician-owned, multispecialty medical group in the state.

NJAIM’s facility is located in the Valley National Bank building in Fair Lawn, and offers 44 exam rooms and provides bone density testing, X-ray imaging, colonoscopy and other services.

NJAIM employs 20 health practitioners whose specialties include allergy/immunology, cardiology, gastroenterology, internal medicine, pulmonology, rheumatology and hematology/oncology.

Dr. Jeffrey LeBenger, SMG’s CEO, told NJBIZ that NJAIM broadens SMG’s presence in northern New Jersey and complements its focus on value-based care.

“The addition of New Jersey Associates in Medicine significantly expands the footprint of Summit Medical Group further into densely-populated Bergen County, and establishes Fair Lawn as our latest comprehensive care center hub,” he said. “This latest partnership presents an exciting opportunity to demonstrate SMG’s commitment to providing the highest level of patient-centric care in New Jersey … most importantly, we’re a match in philosophy – with a steadfast commitment to a patient-centered care model.”

NJAIM President Dr. Jack Cappitelli said in a press release that “This is an important milestone in the long and distinguished history of NJAIM that helps us to meet the needs of new models of care that will result in a broader portfolio of services and access to an impressive roster of healthcare providers.”
