The new program is called the Digital Beauty QuickFire Challenge, and will encourage startup companies to compete in the creation novel and forward-thinking products for consumers that promote both skincare and beauty. The winner, or winners, of the contest will receive access to a network of experts, a residency for up to one year at an available Johnson & Johnson Innovation lab and admission to a Johnson & Johnson Consumer Experience Center. The winner will also be able to custom design and execute one free research initiative at the Experience Center.
According to an announcement by J&J, it is specifically seeking:
“To achieve this, we are seeking innovative devices and digital technology solutions to make the invisible visible and tackle the toughest skincare challenges,” said Naomi Furgiuele, vice president, Global Face and Sun research and development at Johnson & Johnson Consumer, in a written statement. “By creating powerful connected experiences with those outside of our company walls, we are able to build consumer preference, loyalty, and unique personalization.”
