Kimberly S. Contos named manager of emergency preparedness for Jersey Central Power & Light.
Kimberly S. Contos has been named manager of Emergency Preparedness for Jersey Central Power & Light. In her new role Contos will serve as the main liaison with federal, state and local emergency preparedness organizations and will also oversee the company’s preparedness initiatives.
“Kim has served as a team leader during JCP&L storm events and is an experienced supervisor with a background in managing regulatory and reliability commitments,” said Mark Jones, vice president of operations. Contos joined JCP&L in 2007 and has served in the customer accounting and human services departments; she was previously named distribution technical supervisor for JCP&L transmission construction and maintenance in 2012.
JCP&L is a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. serving customers in Burlington, Essex, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Morris, Ocean, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex, Union and Warren counties.
