Brokerage firm Levin Management Corp. recently announced it has arranged a 1,500-square-foot lease at Rutgers Plaza in Franklin with Flame Kabob House, an Afghan restaurant chain.

The location at the plaza marks the second New Jersey restaurant for Flame Kabob.

“Rutgers Plaza’s proximity to Rutgers University, a diverse and growing local population, and the presence of strong anchor tenants make it a great location for Flame Kabob House,” said Jordan Korris, the LMC leasing representative who arranged the long-term lease. “In turn, high-quality fast-casual dining options are welcome additions to any shopping center, and Flame Kabob House is no exception.”

Rutgers Plaza is a 266,000-square-foot property that is anchored by a Stop & Shop and Kmart. The restaurant, Flame Kabob House also joins Crunch Fitness, Dollar Tree, GNC and Chase Bank, to name a few.

“Well-located on Easton Avenue at Kennedy Boulevard, Rutgers Plaza serves a growing residential population estimated at more than 265,000 people within a five-mile radius, and a daytime population of more than 156,000 people within those same five miles,” LMC said in a news release. “The daily traffic count on Easton Avenue exceeds 39,000 vehicles.”
