Developer The Kamson Corp. recently held a ceremonial ribbon cutting ceremony for its latest mixed-use development, Woodcliff Lake Commons, in Woodcliff Lake.
The development, located within walking distance to the Woodcliff Lake train station and minutes from the Hillsdale and Westwood business districts, is comprised of one- and two-bedroom units, and 7,500 square feet of retail space.
“The property along Broadway presents an ideal location for retailers, restaurants, medical offices and other businesses,” said Kamson in a news release. “Young professionals and empty nesters will also find the luxury apartments to be a perfect spot for convenient living.”
Each unit, the developer said, comes with a private storage room, stainless steel appliances and a washer and dryer.
Kamson started redeveloping the property, located at 62 Broadway St., in September 2016. The former owner, Kamson said, received approvals for the property to be developed as office, but decided to sell the 1.2-acre site.
Kamson said the development is one of several others along Broadway that Woodcliff Lake approved to promote transit-oriented construction.
“Back in 2015, prior to our application, the town of Woodcliff Lake completed a corridor study for Broadway to promote transit oriented developments and mixed-use projects in close proximity to the Woodcliff Lake train station,” said the developer in a prepared statement.
Woodcliff Lake’s median household income is over $100,000. Kamson said it hopes Woodcliff Lake Commons attracts both millennials and empty nesters for its proximity to transit and retail.
Kamson said it expects the units to be fully leased by Q1 2018 and the retail space by Q4 2018.
Prices for a one-bedroom start at $1,800.
