Commercial real estate mortgage firm G.S. Wilcox recently announced Rob Logan and Wesley Wilcox have joined the firm as senior associates. In their new role, both Wilcox and Logan will assist in origination and underwriting.

“Over the past year our firm has undertaken several initiatives to increase both our equity and debt origination capabilities,” Gretchen Wilcox, founder and president of G.S. Wilcox, said in a prepared statement. “We are looking forward to the continuation of G.S. Wilcox’s success in the market place with our recent hiring of the next generation”

Before joining the firm, Logan spent nine years at ICAP in structured debt before joining the debt and structure finance team at Newmark Knight Frank.

Wesley Wilcox joins the firm after having work in the capital markets group for CBRE’s Saddle Brook office.

G.S. Wilcox said it is on pace for a record year, following the firm having surpassed 2016’s total production in July. The firm said it has seen an increase in request for capital solutions from private equity firms, developers and institutional owners.

“Due to the continued stringent financial regulation that banks face, more and more firms are looking for life insurance company money,” Gretchen Wilcox said. “With their rates the lowest in the market place, we have committed well over $100 million over the past few months and the pipeline remains extremely strong.”

G.S. Wilcox also announced several life companies now have equity programs to include participating mortgages, mezzanine programs and fund investments.
