Fisher opens Vantage in Jersey City

Across the Morris Canal Basin and Liberty State Park, Brian and Casey Fisher of Fisher Development Associates were recently joined by Jersey City Mayor Steven Fulop and deputy mayor Marcos Vigil at the ceremonial opening of the first phase of Vantage, a 45-story luxury residential waterfront tower in the Liberty Harbor North neighborhood.

Vantage, located at 33 Park Ave., features 448 luxury rental units within a block of the Marin Boulevard Hudson-Bergen Light Rail Station and the Liberty Harbor/Marin Boulevard ferry station. Residents also have near access to the Grove Street PATH Station and Exchange Place.

“The building looks beautiful and certainly adds to the skyline which makes Jersey City so special in regards to this entire region,” Fulop said. “Congratulations to Fisher Development Associates on the opening of Vantage and we look forward to more projects like this.”

Pricing for apartments at Vantage start in the low-$2,000’s for a studio, Fisher said. The building is comprised of studio, one- and two-bedroom units available for immediate occupancy.

Each resident at Vantage has access to a 24-hour concierge, fitness club, children’s playroom, business room, conference center, screening room and an enclosed parking garage.

Outdoor amenities include a swimming pool, lounge, full-size basketball court and a sky lounge atop the 45 floor.

Fisher Development Associates said it will seek LEED Certification from the US Green Building Council for the project, which was designed by S9 Architecture.

The developer, whose first project was Gateway Plaza in Manhattan, first built Liberty Terrace in Jersey City in 2006. Fisher Development Associates has since built Liberty Towers and Crystal Point in the city.

In Hoboken, the developer built Hudson Park, a 302-apartment complex over 20 years ago.

“We thought Hoboken was great, then we looked here and you had the ferry and the PATH, even back then,” Fisher said. “And it was so close to Manhattan, and the views were so dramatic that we took a bit of a flyer and we started developing here.”

“We love Jersey City, we intend to stay in Jersey City. We believe that the waterfront, particularly has such great value that why would people want to go to Harrison? It is in the PATH, but it is two or three stops away and you don’t have the views, you don’t have the amenities. We want to stay here and we think there’s still value to be added and we think there’s deals to be done. We’re very pleased about here.”

Fisher Development said it plans to begin construction on One Park, the second phase of Vantage in the coming months.
