Morris Plains-based conglomerate Honeywell announced Monday it has named Brian S. Cook its new vice president of corporate development and global head of mergers and acquisitions.
Cook will report to senior vice president and chief financial officer Thomas A. Szlosek. He also succeeded Anne Madden, who was recently named Honeywell’s SVP and general counsel.
"Brian has been responsible for leveraging Honeywell's acquisition strategy effectively to establish a stronger portfolio that positions us for the long term. His leadership in identifying adjacent market opportunities and new platform investments has been instrumental in driving Honeywell's growth," said Szlosek. "He is the right leader to take our M&A strategy to the next level and continue to aggressively create shareowner value."
Cook’s been at Honeywell since 2001 and was named vice president of corporate development in 2006. Prior to Honeywell, he was a director within the transaction services group at PricewaterhouseCoopers.
