Healthcare nonprofit firm Virtua announced today it has appointed Dennis Pullin to the role of CEO and president of the company.
Pullin’s appointment comes one month after joining the firm.
"We are very pleased to welcome Dennis Pullin to Virtua and look forward to his leadership and vision," David Kindlick, Virtua chairman said. "I am confident that Dennis will carry forward our mission - ensuring high quality, financial stability and outstanding patient care."
Before joining Virtua, Pullin served as president of MedStar Harbor Hospital and as senior vice president of MedStar Health in Washington, D.C. He spent three years as chief operating officer and senior vice president at MedStar Washington Hospital Center.
"It is an indescribable privilege to join Virtua, an organization recognized as the first choice for health and wellness in South Jersey," Pullin said. "I look forward to building upon the already solid foundation to embark on the next era of healthcare. I believe we are on the threshold of what I know is an exceptionally promising future for Virtua."
Pullin is a Texas native and is a member of the American Hospital Association’s Governance Council for Metropolitan Hospitals and the board College of Health Professions.
Virtua said Pullin has already met the 400-member Virtua Leadership Group and has begun to visit the firm’s facilities and 9,000 employees.
