BDO's Woodbridge office hires new partner in charge of ethics

BDO USA LLP, a national accounting firm, has hired Lisa Snyder as its new top ethics officer in its Woodbridge office.

Snyder is a Rutgers University graduate and former executive in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ Professional Ethics Division, where she helped enforce professional ethics and standards for accounting firms nationwide.

Her new title is partner and head of BDO’s Independence Group. She is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the state’s Society of CPAs. She reports to Christopher Tower, national managing partner of the firm’s Audit Quality and Professional Practice.

“Lisa brings a wealth of experience to BDO,” Tower said in a press release. “We are pleased to welcome her as a new BDO partner in this leadership role, where she will be instrumental in ensuring that the firm continually meets its independence requirements and maintains the highest degree of ethics.”
