Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi P.C. announced Thursday that Ronald Tobia has joined the firm as a member, expanding the firm's capabilities and offerings in its newly-named Labor & Employment Group.

Tobia is a labor relations attorney and will be based at the firm's West Orange office.

“Ron is one of the most sought-after labor attorneys in the region,” Catherine Wells, chair of CSG’s Labor & Employment Group, said. “With the addition of Ron to our team, we immediately enhance the value we provide to our clients.”

Tobia has extensive experience in management labor relations, handling all types of litigation, including NLRB and PERC proceedings, strikes and picketing, federal and state labor, discrimination and harassment litigation, contract negotiations, administration and arbitration.

“I could not be more excited to join CSG’s Labor & Employment Group, which has a stellar reputation as a thoughtful counselor to leading corporations throughout New Jersey and New York,” Tobia said. “My client base will immediately reap the benefits of CSG’s full-service platform and the additional resources that come with it.”

“The expansion of our labor capabilities is another integral step in the firm’s strategic, client-focused growth plan,” CSG Managing Member Daniel Schwartz added. “We are delighted to have an attorney of Ron’s stature and experience at CSG and look forward to working with him.”

Tobia has been serving as special labor counsel to the Utility and Transportation Contractors Association of New Jersey for the past 40 years.

Prior to CSG, Tobia founded Tobia & Sorger, a boutique labor and employment law firm.
