Energy management firm Holtec International recently announced it opened a 160,000-square-foot office building in its 50-acre campus in Camden.
The unveiling of the office building is the latest addition to the campus, which totals a $320 million investment to the city of Camden at the former New York Shipyard.
The firm received a Grow NJ tax credit for $260 million for bringing more than 230 new employees to Camden and indicating it aims to hire 1,000 people by the end of the decade.
Holtec relocated from Marlton to Camden in early 2017.
“We managed to design and construct a facility that supports the rapid growth rate of this international company,” Paul Swartz, CEO of USA Architects, the designer of the office component of the HQ, said. “... Successfully joining forces toward Camden’s revitalization and the future seems brighter than ever for South Jersey.”
Holtec’s campus also includes a 500,000-square-foot manufacturing facility, US Architects said. Holtec said it intends to build a T pier to facilitate transportation out of its manufacturing plant in Camden.
