CSG announces new member to its white collar practice

By ,

Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi P.C. announced recently that Lee Vartan has joined the firm as a member in its white collar criminal defense and government investigations group, effective September 1.

Vartan, who has extensive experience in private practice, will be based at the firm’s West Orange office. Vartan is also experienced in representing clients in a variety of government-related matters.

“We are delighted to welcome Lee Vartan to CSG,” Jeffrey Chiesa, CSG senior member, said. “Lee has achieved extraordinary success in both private practice and during his distinguished career in public service.  He is a gifted lawyer and a wonderful colleague, and he will make a great addition to our team of talented professionals.”

Prior to CSG, Vartan was at Holland & Knight, where he was a member of the firm’s white collar group. Before that, he was an executive assistant attorney general for State of New Jersey.

“Lee has earned a reputation as a fierce advocate for those he represents, and his background as a federal and state prosecutor offers an invaluable perspective to his clients,” Daniel Schwartz, CSG managing member, said. “His presence adds another rising star to an already impressive roster within our white collar practice.”

“With several former federal prosecutors on staff, CSG has built its white collar group into a powerhouse practice,” Vartan said. “I’m eager to rejoin many former colleagues and friends and am excited to play a role in helping take this unique platform to the next level.”
