Celebrity-backed pizza chain opens shop in Livingston

By ,

Blaze Fast-Fire’d Pizza, a national chain with celebrity backing, will open in Livingston on Friday.

The restaurant chain, which specializes in artisanal, custom-built pizzas in a casual environment, will serve free pizzas to anyone who follows the company on social media. The pizzas will be served on September 8 from its new, 2,500-square-foot facility in Livingston, the chain’s sixth restaurant in the state.

Blaze Fast-Fire’d also operates 200 restaurants in 34 states since opening in 2012.

NBA star LeBron James, tennis legend Maria Shriver and Boston Red Sox Co-Owner Tom Werner are among the company’s earliest investors. The restaurant allows customers to create their own pizza with fresh ingredients, and offers gluten-free dough.

Jim Mizes, CEO, said in a press release that the new 60-table restaurant is looking to build strong roots in the local community.

“We’ve developed a turn-key in-restaurant fundraiser program that returns 20 percent of an event’s proceeds back to local organizations, and we will be partnering with local schools, sports and other organizations to host fundraising events at the new restaurant,” he said.
