Northfield Bancorp’s subsidiary Northfield Bank recently announced it has hired Tara French to serve as the executive vice president and chief administrative officer, effective September 18.
French will oversee corporate governance, strategic planning and risk management for Northfield Bank.
“We are very pleased to welcome Tara to Northfield,” Steven Klein, president and chief operating officer of Northfield Bank, said. “Tara’s deep knowledge and experience of banking operations, risk management and regulatory oversight will be invaluable as we move ahead with our strategic objectives.”
“Our executive team looks forward to working closely with Tara, utilizing her leadership, insights and technical disciplines to further complement our high performing executive group,” Klein said.
French has over 30 years of banking and regulatory experience, according to Northfield. She began her career with the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York. French has also served as an assistant deputy controller in the Comptroller of the Currency out of its New York field office.
French will be based out of Woodbridge.
