BioReference Laboratories, a diagnostic company based in Elmwood Park, has named a former health system executive as its new executive vice president of sales, it announced recently.
Victoria L. Laughman, who had been director of physician outreach and development for the John Muir Health System in California, will now lead BioReference’s national sales force, working out of the corporate headquarters.
“We are pleased to have a professional of Vicki’s caliber and leadership qualities join our team,” Dr. Gregory Henderson, BioReference’s president, said in a prepared statement. “From pharmacy benefit managers to lab services to health systems, Vicki has led both startups and established institutions toward exponential growth and sustained success. We look forward to her doing the same with our team here at BioReference.”
Laughman, who also founded Caretinuum LLC, a lab service marketing firm, will oversee more than 400 employees, focusing on innovation, client service and compliance matters for clients including physicians, hospitals and health systems, BioReference said in a news release.
“Today, ‘value-based care’ is more than a buzzword — at BioReference, it’s a guiding philosophy,” she said in a statement. “To that end, we work to get our clients not just the testing services their patients need, but the accurate, quick-turnaround results they expect. We recognize the critical role that laboratory diagnostics plays in today’s value-based environment, and for providers, there is no better collaborator in care than BioReference.”
