Marlin Business Services Corp., a provider of credit products and services to small businesses, announced it has named Laura C. Anger senior vice president and chief human resources officer.
In her new role, Anger will be responsible for managing Marlin’s human resources activities across all its businesses. She will report to Jeffrey Hilzinger, Marlin’s CEO and president.
Anger has more than 30 years of experience in human resources. Most recently, she led the human resources department for the North American Connected Car unit of Harman International, a Samsung company. Before that, she held a top role at Flagstar Bancorp Inc. and Crain Communications Inc. Earlier in her career she held leadership human resources roles at AT&T Capital, Heller Financial and GE Capital.
“Given Laura’s extensive experience in all aspects of human resource management, particularly in the commercial finance and banking industries, she has the ideal background to lead Marlin’s human resources function into the future,” Hilzinger said. “Laura’s depth and breadth of experience will help us to develop and manage our human resource activities at a more strategic level, thereby, helping Marlin to recruit and retain the best people in the industry. We’re delighted to have her join Marlin’s senior leadership team.”
