Cranbury-based slot car and remote-control car maker Carrera of America has a new president, it announced this week.
The company said in a news release that Rick Greenberg, former CEO and president of Shelcore Toys Inc., based in Somerset, and most recently a principal and business development adviser with Radiate LLC in Basking Ridge, will now run the Austrian-owned company’s American operations.
“Over his career, Rick has introduced and led several European toy companies to the U.S. market,” Managing Director Roger Balser said in a prepared statement. “We are looking forward to Rick leading Carrera’s expansion to meet the many robust opportunities in this unique area of the toy and hobby industry.”
Carrera of America is owned by Stadlbauer Marketing + Vertrieb GmbH in Salzburg.
“Greenberg was selected to run the American operations because of his strong, eclectic background in the toy industry,” Stadlbauer Group President Andreas Stadlbauer said in a statement.
