Commercial real estate firm Transwestern recently announced it has negotiated the lease of 2,000 square feet at 545 Cedar Lane, Teaneck, on behalf of Direct Line Carpets II. The new space will allow Direct Carpets to double in size from its previous Teaneck location on Cedar Lane.
Transwestern Vice President Rick Rizzuto negotiated the transaction on behalf of the owner, Stonegate Buildings, and the tenant.
“A significant portion of Direct Line Carpets’ business has been generated by the Teaneck location,” Rizzuto said. “It was vital that we identify a larger space that would allow the company to remain on Teaneck’s main commercial corridor, while providing a larger footprint to enable them to better serve their expanding local customer base.”
The property, located in Teaneck’s business district, provides access to Route 4 and Interstate 80 as well as the New Jersey Turnpike. In the early 1940s, the 27,000-square-foot property was used as a bomb shelter.
