Commercial brokerage NAI James E. Hanson recently announced it has completed the leasing of 130,963 square feet to add This Is It! Productions to Jersey City’s Lackawanna Center.

NAI Hanson’s Russ Verducci, Eric Demmers and Steve Pastor worked alongside in-house representative Brett Weinblatt to represent Lackawanna Warehouse Corp. of New Jersey II, while Scott Maynard of Weichert Commercial represented the lessee, Lackawanna Eastern Terminus LLC c/o This Is It! Productions.

“Our experience with this market and deals of this size allowed us to help bring a new business to the city while securing a valuable tenant for our client,” Verducci said. “This trend is powered by the affordability, location and access to a highly educated workforce that Jersey City offers to prospective businesses.”

The Lackawanna Center, located at 629 Grove St., has been reimagined from a railroad warehousing and distribution building to an industrial and retail complex of 1.3 million square feet.

“Previously based in Hoboken, This Is It! Productions has managed events and programs across the tri-state area since 1994,” NAI Hanson said in a news release. “The concept and event production company was searching for a new home that offered the exact combination of ccessibility, flexibility and affordability found in Lackawanna Center to accommodate their growing full-service event management, marketing, and sponsorship business.”
