The Kislak Real Estate Institute at Monmouth University has announced it will present NAIOP New Jersey CEO Michael McGuinness with the Service to the Industry Award at its Leadership Excellence Awards Dinner on June 1.

The institute said recipients of this award are an individual or organization that has “provided exceptional service and support in advocacy, education or other services to the real estate industry.”

“NAIOP NJ is committed to educating the future leaders of our industry and creating opportunities for them to engage with and learn from real estate professionals,” McGuinness said. “We value our relationship with the university and I am humbled to receive this honor on behalf of our entire association, which is deeply involved in advancing the issues that impact our members and communities across the state.”

McGuinness has served as the organization’s CEO since 1997, overseeing operations, programs and working in consultation with the officers and board of trustees to carry out NAIOP’s operations in the state.

He is also a registered legislative agent, directs the advocacy program and manages the Developers Political Action Committee.

NAIOP NJ represents close to 750 members and is currently working alongside 50 students through its University Membership program.
