SHI International Corp., a Somerset-based IT solutions provider, announced Wednesday it has hit its highest revenue yet in the first quarter of 2017, driving 13 percent growth year over year with $1.7 billion in revenue.
The company’s sales division rose sharply in the first quarter, with a 24 percent gain in the corporate and SMB division, and a 13 percent gain in the commercial and strategic enterprise division. There was also a 24 percent increase in the company’s United Kingdom division.
“Organizations today face a rapidly evolving technology landscape, so they require a partner that can listen, understand, and meet their unique needs,” said Thai Lee, CEO and president of SHI. “Our success is contingent upon our ability to adapt our offerings. As such, we have developed new programs and deployed additional resources that can support our customers’ demands for technologies from emerging cloud, security and mobile partners.”
SHI also highlighted its growth in public cloud usage, focusing on Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services. SHI said it expects approximately $1 billion in Microsoft cloud assets for 2017.
Due to the demand for AWS support, SHI fortified its public cloud support portfolio and launched the AWS Support Services program, a professional and managed services offering led by Kevin Clements, SHI’s chief technology officer. The program provides SHI customers direct support with technical, financial and corporate governance aspects of AWS and other cloud technologies.
“SHI speaks to thousands of customers every day, and they’ve asked us to guide them, both technically and financially, to the best solutions,” Lee said. “That was the genesis of our AWS Support Services program. Both new and longtime SHI customers have reacted positively to our new offering.”
