Unicorn HRO bolsters its executive team

By ,

Payroll, benefits and human resources company Unicorn HRO is expanding its executive leadership as part of its business growth strategy, it announced.

The Florham Park-based company said in a news release that it has created a new position for one executive, and hired two others.

First, Tim Diassi, the company’s executive vice president and general manager, will now serve as senior vice president of acquisitions and partnerships. In this new role, he will identify, evaluate and recommend merger and acquisition opportunities, the company said.

Second, Michelle Woods has been hired as senior vice president of sales and marketing. She has more than 20 years of experience in human capital management, insurance and technology solutions, most recently with Vertafore and including 16 years with Paychex. She will be responsible for directing sales and marketing strategies to organically grow the company’s core solutions.

Finally, Elissa Palmer has joined the company as senior vice president of benefit services. She has more than 20 years of experience in direct sales and marketing of employee benefits solutions for middle-market companies. She will oversee growth of the benefit services division by providing services to new and existing clients.

“We are very excited to welcome Michelle and Elissa to our executive team, and expand Tim’s role,” Frank P. Diassi, chairman and CEO, said in a prepared statement. “The recent management changes are designed to support our aggressive growth plan for 2017 and beyond, with organic business development as well as mergers and acquisitions being key to achieving this.”
