Fairleigh Dickinson University has announced a new master’s degree program in hospitality management studies, based at its Wroxton College in the United Kingdom.
The university said in a news release Thursday that the Master of Science program is the first degree program is it offering at Wroxton, located 90 minutes from London.
“The Master of Science in Hospitality Management Studies increases students’ analytical, managerial and leadership competencies and will provide graduates with the requisite preparation for career advancement in various hospitality professional areas,” Joseph Tormey, director of the FDU school, said in a prepared statement.
The goal of the program, part of FDU’s International School of Hospitality & Tourism Management, is to meet the educational needs of adult learners working as managers, entrepreneurs, educators or in other professional roles in the industry, FDU said.
“FDU’s International School of Hospitality & Tourism Management is one of the oldest and highest-ranked hospitality schools in the United States, and we are thrilled to continue our commitment to global education by offering a graduate program in such close proximity to the leading hospitality centers, as well as the historic cities in Europe, allowing students to make valuable professional connections worldwide,” FDU President Christopher Capuano said in a statement.
