FOWNDERS, a social-impact startup accelerator in Newark, announced it has added Stephen Bienko as its CEO.
He started in January.
Bienko, an entrepreneur with ties to the athletic industry, has founded multiple businesses, has been an Air Force cadet, an Olympic trainer, a marketing guru and much more.
FOWNDERS recently graduated its first class of entrepreneurs that included Arize, SanoMind, Slingshot VR, Blastchat, Youii, Hypelite, Leave Normal Behind and Oskie with more than $500,000 in seed funding raised. The startup also added to its leadership team Toby Dattolo, Brian Ragone, Brian Donovan, Mustafa Almuradi and Monica Adams.
Adams, FOWNDERS' founder and chief visionary officer, was a millionaire before age 24 and co-founded and sold Elite Daily for $50 million in 2015.
"I'm thrilled to serve such a fantastic team and work alongside one of the most visionary and inspirational millennials (Adams),” Bienko said of his appointment.
FOWNDERS is a Newark-based startup that advances entrepreneurship, technology and innovation in urban communities.
