Anjalee Khemlani, the health care reporter for NJBIZ since September 2015, has been promoted to deputy managing editor, NJBIZ announced this week.
The promotion was one of a series of moves NJBIZ made to better position itself for 2017.
Khemlani will continue as the newspaper’s lead health care reporter and a contributor to the Diversified and Breaking Glass blogs, as well as assume other supervisory roles.
Other moves include:
Eric Strauss has been promoted to managing editor, where he will help direct all editorial content in print and on NJBIZ’s digital platforms.
Robert F. Russo will assume the title of art director, which more properly defines his role as the lead designer for all NJBIZ products.
Emily Bader has been named web editor and social media coordinator, a title that better describes her duties.
In addition, Mario Marroquin has joined the staff as the paper’s real estate reporter. Marroquin, a bilingual reporter, is a 2016 graduate of Penn State.
“These moves will help us maintain our mission of being the top source for business news in the state,” Editor Tom Bergeron said.
