Crunch Fitness, the national gym chain, has signed a lease for 23,000 square feet at a Franklin Township shopping plaza, according to Levin Management.
North Plainfield-based Levin, which exclusively leases and manages the 266,650-square-foot Rutgers Plaza, said the New York-based chain signed a long-term deal as part of its expansion in key markets.
“There is growing demand for affordable, well-located gyms that cater to consumers of all ages and skill levels,” Matthew K. Harding, president of Levin Management, said in a prepared statement. “With the new year underway, many people are looking to set new health and fitness goals. The addition of Crunch Fitness brings another high-traffic anchor tenant to Rutgers Plaza and will greatly benefit our existing tenant base. We are confident Crunch Fitness will become a key amenity for those who live and work in the community.”
While Levin represented the property owner, Chuck Lanyard of Paramus-based The Goldstein Group represented the tenant.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
