A Mays Landing cloud-based communications business is merging with a Utah cloud-based call center technology firm, forming a diversified provider of contact center solutions, the two companies announced Monday.
After the merger, Global Connect will become the East Coast operations of TCN Inc., based in St. George, Utah, according to a news release. The Global Connect executive team will lead the division, with the majority of employees joining the TCN staff. The unit will continue to be based in Mays Landing.
“We look forward to merging with TCN and leveraging individual strengths into a combined organization that is better fit to meet and exceed the needs of the contact center industry,” Darrin Bird, executive vice president of Global Connect, said in a prepared statement. “We are committed to providing our customers with a seamless transition and building a brand together that will deliver superior customer support and value-added services well into the future.”
The combined company will serve more than 1,500 customers worldwide, the news release said.
“We are confident that this partnership of two major outbound call center technologies will help capitalize on each company’s individual strengths and deliver more robust, streamlined services to our customers,” Terrel Bird, CEO and co-founder of TCN, said in a statement. “It will also help kick-start TCN’s future road map, including faster development of features and multichannel growth.”
