Triple Play is a weekly NJBIZ feature that asks top executives in New Jersey to talk about three things related to their industry.
Aaron Strauss is the founder and managing partner of A.Y. Strauss LLC, a Roseland-based commercial real estate law firm.
We asked Aaron to discuss three ways having an entrepreneurial model can help attorneys prioritize a work-life balance.
Healthy environment: Many industries are grappling with the work-life balance issue right now. Creating an environment that provides opportunities for career challenges and personal fulfillment is central to our firm’s business model. For us, that includes the chance to do some pro bono work.
Streamlined and flexible: Layers of management can inhibit professional growth and limit access to clients. We operate in a streamlined organizational structure, combining the highly personalized attention of a boutique firm for clients with the intellectual depth and experience of a larger one.
Mirroring clients: Many of our clients are entrepreneurs, ranging from developers, property owners and retailers to individual investors, private equity firms and family offices. We share a similar sense of purpose with them and find it highly rewarding to work together.
