Hackensack University Health Network has joined the list of hospital networks in the state that have partnered with urgent care clinics to help provide satellite locations.
Urgent care provider CityMD will open New Jersey locations in Paramus on Oct. 5 and in Clifton in mid-November.
These are the first Garden State locations for CityMD, which currently serves the New York City population.
The company has expanded rapidly since opening its first location on Manhattan’s Upper East Side in 2010. The urgent care provider now operates over 40 practice locations across Manhattan, Long Island, Rockland/Westchester counties, Queens, Brooklyn and the Bronx.
Dr. Nedal Shami, one of CityMD's founding doctors and its current chief strategy officer, grew up in Paramus.
"We understand Bergen County residents have many options for medical care. People ask us how CityMD is different. One of the unique things about CityMD is our after-care system that connects patients with our most trusted partners, ensuring a seamless transition to continued care," he said.
Robert Garrett, CEO and president of Hackensack University Health Network, said, "Through our partnership with CityMD, we will now provide much-needed urgent care in patient-centered facilities conveniently located throughout the northern New Jersey region."
