Colonia-based fast-casual restaurant chain Muscle Maker Grill has been acquired by a California-based restaurant company, it announced Tuesday.
Muscle Maker Grill, which offer nutritious alternatives to traditional dishes, has been purchased by American Restaurant Holdings Inc.’s affiliate Muscle Maker Inc., it said in a news release. American Restaurant Holdings owns and operates other restaurant chains, including Fronteras Mexican Grill and JoJo’s Pizza Kitchen, among others.
“We are pleased to announce the acquisition of Muscle Maker Grill locations nationwide,” Tim M. “Our priorities are to work closely with our current franchisees, continue franchise growth and development, and open more corporate locations in both new and existing markets. We look forward to continuing the expansion of the Muscle Maker Grill brand nationwide.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
“Our team is thrilled to partner with American Restaurant Holdings and feels that they can provide significant capital to assist in the growth of the Muscle Maker Grill brand,” Rod Silva, the chain’s founder, said in a statement. “We look forward to working closely with Tim and his team to continue to expand while building on our 20-year legacy of offering ‘Great Food with Your Health in Mind.’”
