NJBIZ celebrates Small Business Week

By ,

This week is National Small Business Week, when the nation recognizes the contributions to the economy made by America's entrepreneurs and small business owners. In recognition of this week, NJBIZ compiled a special issue focused on some of New Jersey's most interesting small businesses and the challenges that are affecting them.

NJBIZ looked at three factors that are crucial to the success of any small business: regulation, health care and borrowing.

In addition, we took a closer look at eight of the Garden State’s most distinctive small businesses, from the company that sends chocolate text displays to the one that prints three-dimensional, personalized statues, and more.

To read some of these reports:

Dedicated effort: Jersey City is making it easier for small business

Lending a hand: Community bank leaders say small business owners are their top priority

Making an impact: Stearns has unique perspective on health care for small business owners
