Go-to stress buster: “I drink a big glass of water, then take out my phone and play a video clip of my kids. It always makes me laugh to myself, lightens my mood and gives me the perspective to keep chugging.”
What change would make workplaces friendlier to work-life balance? “Eye contact. I would reinforce the importance of maintaining sustained eye contact when talking to colleagues. It’s so often when people are in meetings or having conversations that they are looking at computer screens, phones or in transit. Much of the value of interaction is lost because so many of us underestimate the importance of eye contact.”
