Achievements: Founding Economic Project Solutions in 1999 and shepherding the company into a multimillion-dollar owner’s representative/project management firm; serving on New Jersey’s Red Tape Review Commission; contributing to a range of charities, including the Autism Society of America, Chilton Memorial Foundation and Muscular Dystrophy Association; supporting and participating in Nontraditional Employment for Women, a program that prepares women for careers in construction, transportation, energy and facilities maintenance.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Pratt Institute; master’s degree in mechanical engineering, New York University.

Role model: “A professor I had at Pratt constantly reinforced the message that the glass ceiling will keep you down only if you allow it. Her message was that in a man’s world, real estate and construction, there are ways to slowly crack that glass until one day it shatters and all your dreams can come true, as long as you believe in yourself and your dream of success.”

What do you wish someone had told you when you were first starting out in business? “Network, network, network. And when you’re not networking, network! In my industry, people do business with people and, most importantly, people we like.”
