What change would make workplaces friendlier to work-life balance? “Organizations and leaders should always encourage their employees to use their vacation days. While I value a hard and dedicated worker, it’s so important to recharge your batteries.”
What do you wish someone had told you when you were first starting out in business? “First, I would say that a true work-life balance is very difficult to maintain. Secondly, to make sure you love what you do … Last but not least, that the glass ceiling is unfortunately real, and there are definitely still barriers for women in business. Whenever I have the opportunity to talk to young women about what makes a difference, I always say that one of the key equalizers is education, and the other is dedication.”
