Role model: “My grandmother, Claire Kelly. She was equally comfortable in a man’s world, as well as a woman’s. She was township clerk for Denville from 1945 to 1972. She was a pivotal member of the township government as it transitioned from a small, rural mining town to a busy commuter suburb. She enjoyed challenges, opportunities, people and New Jersey.”
Last book read: “What If?: Serious Scientific Answers to Absurd Hypothetical Questions,” by Randall Munroe.
What do you wish someone had told you when you were first starting out in business? “As Tom Hanks said in ‘A League of Their Own,’ ‘It’s supposed to be hard. If it wasn’t hard, everyone would do it. The hard is what makes it great.’”
