A. Duie Pyle, a transportation and supply chain solutions company, announced Monday the opening of a logistics center in Westampton that will bring approximately 65 new jobs to the area.
The center is fully integrated with all of Pyle’s services, including LTL, truckload, warehousing and distribution, custom dedicated and brokerage solutions. The new jobs will consist of truck drivers, dock workers and support personally.
"This facility will enhance our ability to deliver flexible, efficient and unique options to customers with complex supply chain requirements," Randy Swart, chief operating officer for Pyle, said in a prepared statement. "The logistics center offers the opportunity to regionalize supply and distribution networks by providing a customized logistics solution to reflect the needs of each client."
Located off of I-95 and I-295 in Central Jersey, the 32-acre campus includes more than 100 doors for loading and unloading and more than 132,000 square feet of warehouse space. The campus offers equipment including surveillance and security, fire suppression, backup power generation, trailer-top snow removal, and more.
"We look forward to serving the many facets of our customers' needs from this new facility," Swart said in a statement. "By streamlining the approach to regional logistics, customers are better able to control costs, improve customer service and simplify operations."
