Frank Giantomasi, whose departure from Newark-based Genova Burns Giantomasi Webster was announced in November, is joining an established law firm rather than creating his own.

At the time his departure was announced, it was said that Giantomasi and Elnardo Webster were leaving to create their firm. That did not turn out to be the case.

Wolff & Samson PC, based in West Orange, announced Monday that Giantomasi is joining that firm as partner.

“Mr. Giantomasi brings to Wolff & Samson a wealth of experience in commercial real estate and related transactional work and is recognized as a leading redevelopment attorney in the state,” Wolff & Samson member Jeffrey Chiesa said in a prepared statement. “Frank is a significant addition to our already-strong real estate practice group.”

“Wolff & Samson is a well-established, highly regarded regional firm that provides the perfect platform to enable us to expand our practice area,” Giantomasi said in a prepared statement. “Our move to Wolff & Samson will be seamless and will afford our clients access to a full complement of legal services, including transactional, environmental, litigation, tax and employment.”

He will be joined at Wolff & Samson by his son and daughter, also attorneys.

Francis M. Giantomasi will be an associate with the firm, while Gemma Giantomasi will be counsel, Wolff & Samson said.

There was no word on Webster’s plans.
