Salvona, a manufacturer of encapsulation systems used in pharmaceutical and consumer care products, announced recently that it will be formally opening its new Hamilton facility.
The company, which moved from Dayton on June 1, has already added four new hires and intends to add more in the coming months as it transitions to the new site, according to Jaime Ho, the company’s marketing manager.
Salvona will hold a grand opening ceremony on Sept. 16 at the 2521 Kuser Road facility, featuring company and local officials, it said in a news release. The facility is 57,000 square feet and features large-scale production capabilities, a 25,000-square-foot warehouse and an 8,000-square-foot research laboratory.
“Salvona has been developing and manufacturing advanced nano- and microsphere technologies for the dermatology and cosmetic industries for many years,” Dr. Sam Shefer, CEO, said in a prepared statement. “We are please to be expanding our capabilities through our new (current good manufacturing practices) facility.”
The privately owned company operates in partnership with Zschimmer & Schwarz Chemie GmbH.
