IT consulting firm bolsters life sciences practice

    Aequor Technologies, a Piscataway-based IT consulting and staffing firm, Monday announced it has acquired Sound Advice's life sciences staff augmentation practice.

    "The acquisition of Sound Advice makes sense both strategically and operationally,” Kamalpreet S. Virdi, Aequor president and chairman, said in a prepared statement. "This valued addition will help us continue to provide high-quality IT talent to meet the ever-growing staffing needs of the life science market; while bringing incredible growth opportunities to our firm." 

    The company said in a news release that the deal is part of an ongoing growth strategy in the life sciences consulting and staffing field.

    "This acquisition demonstrates our willingness to invest in businesses that can help fuel profitable growth and extend our life science staffing strategy,” Manmeet Virdi, CEO and co-chairman, said in the release. “With the right strategy, great execution, continued innovation and a clear commitment to providing quality solutions, we are confident that we can grow our life science business successfully for the long-term,"

    Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
