Radware Ltd., an application delivery and security company, said Tuesday that the Colombia National Police has chosen it to protect its network against cyber-attacks.
The Mahwah-based company said in a news release that the Colombia National Police, a nationwide law enforcement organization, is fighting daily cyber-issues, and sought out a company that could mitigate its problems.
“We reviewed what we felt were the best known solutions in the marketplace,” Maj. Alex Durán, head of Computer Security Incident Response Team, Colombia National Police, said in a prepared statement. “Based on Radware’s effectiveness in (distributed denial of service) mitigation, we felt the multi-vector cyber-attacks we constantly faced would be no match. Along with the ease of installation and the benefit-cost ratio of their products, we immediately recognized the value and efficiency of Radware’s security solutions.”
The Colombia National Police will use Radware’s DefensePro product to protect against targeted attacks on software, as well as known and emerging network security issues.
