Schindler provides elevators to 4 World Trade Center

Morristown-based Schindler Elevator Corporation announced recently that it has provided the elevator systems for 4 World Trade Center, an office and retail tower in Manhattan.

Schindler said in a news release Tuesday that it has provided 37 custom high-performance elevators with a destination-dispatch system, plus two custom hydraulic elevators, two geared service elevators and six escalators.

“We knew from the outset that we wanted to be a part of this historic project,” Greg Ergenbright, president, Schindler Elevator Corporation, said in the release. “We approach every project with the goal of enhancing the building design with innovative mobility solutions, a premium ride quality and best in class reliability. … We knew we had the chance to be a part of something special with a project that will change the skyline of downtown Manhattan.”
