Tech firm hires chief strategy officer

    A cyber-threat technology company based in Warren has named a new chief strategy officer, it announced Tuesday.

    Prevalent said in a news release that Matthew Hicks will accelerate the company’s corporate development efforts, as well as uncover new business opportunities and strategic alliances.

    “We are delighted that Matt has joined the Prevalent team,” Jonathan Dambrot, co-founder and CEO, said in the release. “His proven expertise in financial management, business development and strategic alliances will be instrumental in taking our company to the next level. Furthermore, his background in information security will help us to ensure that our value proposition is being clearly communicated, and that we are meeting our business goals and objectives.”

    Hicks’ previous experience included serving as executive in residence for Grandbanks Capital, as well as head of corporate development, M&A and strategic investments at RSA Security.
