Clermont Specialty Managers, a commercial property casualty insurer, is relocating to Rutherford from Hackensack under a deal arranged by Colliers International.

Brokers with the firm’s Parsippany office represented Clermont in its lease of 18,768 square feet at the Meadows Office Complex at 301 Route 17 North, according to a Colliers news release. The tenant is expected to move by late summer to the 600,000-square-foot building, which is owned and managed by Onyx Equities.

"The asset's recent capital improvements, including the addition of a new cafeteria, conference rooms, and fitness center, among others, were a major draw for our client," Howard Kaplowitz, a senior managing director with Colliers, said in a prepared statement. “The class A unit will also accommodate Clermont Specialty Managers’ space needs as the company continues to expand.”

Kaplowitz represented Clermont with John Cunningham, an executive managing director with Colliers. Tim Greiner of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank represented Onyx.
