Insurer opens first facility in New Jersey

By ,

Property and casualty insurer Privilege Underwriters Reciprocal Exchange, or PURE, announced Monday it has opened its first New Jersey location.

The underwriting hub at 106 Allen Road in Basking Ridge will bring 40 new jobs to the state, PURE said in a statement, with plans to employ these professionals in a variety of sales and marketing as well as underwriting roles. This hub will house the underwriting for accounts submitted by brokers in New Jersey and five other states, plus the District of Columbia, PURE said in a news release.

“We are excited about adding an office in New Jersey and the benefits it creates for PURE,” Keith Self, executive vice president and Eastern Zone executive with the PURE Group, said in the release. “It is an important part of maintaining an exceptional level of service and underwriting response while we grow, and its location helps PURE access a strong talent pool.”

PURE, which caters to high net worth individuals and families, has been writing policies in New Jersey since 2009.
