Tucker Development, which develops shopping centers and mixed-use properties, recently announced the hiring of Andrew White to serve as director of leasing as it grows its portfolio throughout the greater Chicago and New York metropolitan areas.

White is a 20-year veteran of the retail real estate industry. Most recently, he served as senior vice president of Avison Young’s retail advisory and services group in the Chicago region.

Tucker has two major projects in New Jersey: In Fort Lee, it is developing Hudson Lights, a 1 million-square-foot redevelopment. Phase I will feature 143,000 square feet of retail space and 276 luxury apartments. And in Newark, it is developing Springfield Avenue Marketplace, which will include 125,000 square feet of retail space and 152 residential apartments.
