Unity Bancorp Inc. announced Monday that Unity Bank has hired two executives for its commercial lending department.
Michael A. Novak will serve as senior vice president/senior commercial loan officer, while Stephen F. Rooney will serve as senior vice president/chief credit officer, the Clinton-based financial services company said in a news release.
Novak, a Flemington resident, will oversee the maintenance and growth of the bank’s commercial loan portfolio. Rooney, a Chatham resident, will handle credit functions such as underwriting, loan closing and loan review.
“We are very pleased that Michael Novak and Steve Rooney have joined our commercial lending team and management group,” Unity Bank President and CEO James A. Hughes said in the release. “They both bring extensive experience working with businesses throughout the region, which will be a valuable asset to current and future customers. We take great pride in providing businesses of all shapes and sizes not only the full range of commercial lending services, but a personalized banking experience, so Michael and Steve are very important additions to our staff.”
Unity Bank operates 15 branches in Hunterdon, Middlesex, Somerset, Union and Warren counties, as well as Northampton County, Pa.
