By ,

BNY Mellon, an investment management and services company, announced Tuesday that it has appointed James Robertson to be its market leader for BNY Mellon Wealth Management's New Jersey region.

Robertson will be based in Madison and report to Doris Meister, president – U.S. Markets Tri-State.

In his new role, Robertson will be responsible for developing and executing wealth management strategies in New Jersey.

“New Jersey represents a large growth opportunity for us, and Jim’s appointment is just the latest step in our expansion strategy for the Tri-State region,” Meister said. “Jim has been with BNY Mellon for 31 years and has demonstrated the expertise and leadership skills to manage teams dedicated to meeting complex client needs, while continuing to build strong relationships with our clients and their key advisors.”

Robertson also will coordinate the daily duties of the New Jersey portfolio managers, wealth directors and bankers while strengthening BNY Mellon’s brand throughout the area.

Prior to this position, Robertson held many leadership positions at BNY Mellon Wealth Management, most recently as a team leader in the New York region.
