Staples, the popular office supply retailer, has leased 14,000 square feet at the North Village Shopping Center in North Brunswick, according to Levin Management, a real estate services firm.

Levin, headquartered in North Plainfield, is the exclusive leasing agent for the 132,000-square-foot shopping center. Staples’ signing the lease has brought the center to 100 percent occupancy.

Jake Frantzman, the firm’s senior leasing representative, negotiated the lease. The tenant was represented by Mike Horne of CBRE.

“North Village Shopping Center’s coveted Middlesex County address near numerous business and industrial parks, as well as its proximity to Rutgers University and other institutes of higher education, makes it an ideal location for Staples’ New Jersey expansion,” Frantzman said in a statement. “We expect this retailer to add significant value to the shopping center, as well as to the surrounding community.”

The center is anchored by Bed Bath & Beyond taking up 32,000 square feet. Barnes & Noble, Michael’s, Panera Bread and Smashburger, among others, makes the center a dominant local shopping destination.
